Dear Youth Exchange Officers,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the USA - Canada Youth Exchange Network, we would like to invite you to join us in Sparks (Reno), Nevada, USA for our 2008 Conference.  The Conference is a time to meet with fellow Youth Exchange Officers from around the world, a time to make new friends, and a time to discuss youth exchange issues.  We believe that the value of attending a conference is the exchange of ideas between conference attendees.   Thus, the conference will have time for informal discussions, along with presentations and breakout sessions.   The topics to be discussed will include cultural issues, certification issues, and procedural issues.  The sessions will be aimed at both those who are new to youth exchange, and those who have many years experience.   And since attendees will be coming from around the world, it is also a time to explore setting up new exchange relationships.

The Conference location is John Ascuaca’s Nugget.  The Nugget has over 1600 rooms in two towers and 8 restaurants.  It is located in Victorian Square where attendees will find additional restaurants and The Sparks Historical Museum.  Downtown Reno is just 15 minutes down the road.  For those attendees who would like to ski in the Sierras, we have arranged a ski package.   And of course, everyone will want to attend the Brazilian Caipirinha reception to be held at the National Automobile Museum.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2008 USA – Canada Youth Exchange Network Conference.
